Paul Ginsborg was a well-known historian who was known for his works from the 1970s through to 2019. He was born on July 18, 1945, in London in the United Kingdom. He died May 11 2022 in Florence in Italy at the age of 76.
Paul Ginsborg has Jewish ancestry. He was a student at Queens College in Cambridge where he graduated with a B.A. in 1966 and was also a fellow of Churchill College in Cambridge. Paul signed a call against the law project in January 2002. This call was presented by Justice Minister Clemente Mastella, which was to specifically penalize Holocaust denial.
Paul and all those who signed this call argued that Italy’s legislation was sufficient to cope with such acts. The amended law project finally restricted itself to reinforcing sentences concerning hate speech.
