Bruce attended Boston University where he studied acting and played for Jerzy Grotowski and other renowned writers. After college, he went to New York City to start his acting career.
Bruce got a job at The Ensemble Studio Theater and he acted on Off-Broadway for several years. He started working in Film and TV productions in the 1980s and was often cast for small supporting roles as he could not be established as the main character in movies.
Some movies he was cast in include, Born on the Fourth of July, Studio 54 and Million Dollar Baby. He also acted in a couple of TV series such as Sex and the City, Law & Order, and Person of Interest.
