The Bronx is home to the New York Yankees, a major league baseball club in the United States. Major League Baseball’s (MLB) New York Yankees are a part of the American League. In addition to the New York Mets, the Yankees are one of two major league baseball teams headquartered in New York City.
In 1901, the Yankees were known as the Baltimore Orioles, and they played their first game that year (no relation to the modern Baltimore Orioles). The franchise was acquired by Frank Farrell and Bill Devery in 1903 and relocated to New York City, where it was renamed the New York Highlanders. In 1913, the Boston Highlanders have renamed the New York Yankees.
All sports fans know and love the New York Yankees outfit. When you mention “the pinstripes,” the first thing that comes to mind is definitely the Yankees.

On the road, the Yankees use a navy blue sans serif typeface with a white outline over the breast on their gray away jersey. The sleeves’ cuffs and hems are finished with navy blue piping.
The Yankees alternate or batting practice jerseys are dark blue with white interlocking “NY” on the right side.
As a nod to the team’s tradition, the Yankees’ jerseys do not have player names.
