Salvador Ramos, the alleged shooter in Tuesday’s deadly shooting, was born in North Dakota, according to Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez in an interview with CNN.
He most recently resided in Uvalde, where the shooting occurred, and attended high school there.
Just hours before the murder, the 18-year-old gunman who opened fire at a Texas elementary school, killing at least 19 children and two adults, purchased two assault rifles on his birthday and looked to send some foreboding Instagram comments.
Many individuals who knew Salvador Ramos regarded him as “calm,” but a young woman who worked with him at Wendy’s until March noticed an aggressive tendency in him.
Several former classmates claimed he had ceased attending school and would not be graduating with the senior class this year.
He’d be disrespectful to the girls and one of the cooks on occasion, threatening them by asking, ‘Do you know who I am?’
And he’d send inappropriate texts to the ladies,” a former coworker, who did not want her name used, claimed.
“There would be footage of him trying to attack people with boxing gloves at the park.” He’d carry them with him everywhere.”
Authorities claim Ramos shot his grandmother on Tuesday morning before crashing his car near Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. According to Texas officials, he ran into the school with a handgun and maybe a rifle.

Ramos is also dead, having been shot and killed by responding police officers. Ramos possessed a handgun, an AR15 assault weapon, and large capacity magazines, according to two law enforcement sources.
Following the shooting, President Biden and members of Congress took positions on gun control.
