Cal Paul Quantrill is a professional baseball player of Canadian descent known to play as a pitcher for the Cleveland Indians baseball team of Major League Baseball(MLB). He was born to Paul Quantrill, a former baseball player and Alyson Quantrill on February 10, 1995, in Canada.
Cal Quantrill played baseball for the high school he attended. He was at Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario in Canada. During the 2013 MLB draft, the New York Yankees drafted him in the 26th round the draft, but he did not sign with them and decided to rather attend Stanford University to play college baseball.
The San Diego Padres drafted him during the 2016 MLB draft. He was selected in the 8th round of the draft. He signed with the Padres and started his professional career with the Arizona Padres. He was promoted during the season to the Tri-City Dust Devils and then to the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
Cal played for the San Antonio Missions and the Lake Elsinore Storm during the 2017 season. The Indians promoted him to the major leagues in 2019 and he made his MLB debut on May 1, 2019. He was traded to the Cleveland Indians in August 2020.
