Cal Paul Quantrill, simply referred to as Cal Quantrill is a well known professional baseball player with the Cleveland Indians baseball team of Major League Baseball(MLB). Cal plays as a pitcher for the Indians and earns a salary of $2.51 million annually.
Cal grew up in Port Hope, Canada where he was born on February 10, 1995. He had his high school baseball career at Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario in Canada. He was drafted out of high school in the 2013 MLB draft by the New York Yankees but he did not sign with them and decided to go play college baseball at Stanford University.
When he finally graduated from the University in 2016, the San Diego Padres drafted him in the 8th selection of the 2016 MLB draft. He made his professional debut that season after he signed with the Padres by playing with the Arizona Padres.
That same season, he was promoted to the Tri-City Dust Devils and the Fort Wayne TinCaps. The following year in 2017, he played for the San Antonio Missions and the Lake Elsinore Storm. He spent 2018 with San Antonio of minor league baseball.
Cal made his MLB debut on May 1, 2019. The Cleveland Indians purchased his contract from the Padres in August 2020. He has since then been with the Indians.
