Nick Sandlin is a professional baseball player in America. He is of American descent and plays as a pitcher for the Cleveland Indians baseball team. He had his amateur career at Greenbrier High School in Evans, Georgia and then at the University of Southern Mississippi where he played college baseball for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
Before he graduated from college, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was also awarded the C Spire Ferriss Trophy and was also named the Conference USA’s Baseball Pitcher of the Year.
The Cleveland Indians drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with them and was given an amount of $750,000 as a signing bonus. He started his professional career that season with the AZL Indians, the Lake County Captains, the Lynchburg Hillcats, and the Akron Rubber Ducks.
For the 2019 minor league season, he was with both the Akron RubberDucks and Columbus Clippers. There was no game to be played in 2020 as the minor league season got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Indians called him up to the major leagues for the first time in April 2021 and he made his MLB debut in May 2021 against the Chicago White Sox.
