Yu-Cheng Chang is a Major League Baseball infielder for the Cleveland Guardians. In 2019, he debuted in the major leagues.
Chang joined the Indians as an international free agent in 2013 and received a $500,000 signing bonus. In 42 games with the AZL Indians in 2014, he batted .346 with six home runs, 25 RBIs, and a .986 OPS.
In 105 games with the Lake County Captains in 2015, he had a.232 batting average, nine home runs, and 52 RBIs. Chang was selected a Carolina League all-star in 2016 while playing for the Lynchburg Hillcats.
He was linked to a trade to the Milwaukee Brewers for Jonathan Lucroy, but the deal fell through when Lucroy refused to waive his no-trade clause.

Chang was listed as Cleveland’s sixth top prospect by MLB.com heading into the 2018 season.
In 127 games with the Columbus Clippers in 2018, he batted .256 with 13 home runs and 62 RBIs. He’s back in Columbus for the start of the 2019 season.
