Owen Robert Miller is an American professional baseball infielder who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball. Miller was born on November 15, 1996. He made his MLB debut in 2021.
After being selected in the first round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, Miller went on to play collegiate baseball for Illinois State University.
He was named to the All-MVC First Team after posting a batting average of.384 with six home runs and 35 RBIs in 52 games during his junior season.
Following the completion of the season, he participated in collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In addition, he played in the Northwoods League.
Third-round pick Miller was taken by the San Diego Padres in the 2018 MLB draft. Upon signing a one-year, $500,000 contract with the Padres,
he debuted in the Class A Short Season Northwest League with the Tri-City Dust Devils and was selected as an All-Star.
The Cleveland Indians traded Miller, Austin Hedges, Cal Quantrill, Josh Naylor and Joey Cantillo on August 31, 2020, in exchange for Mike Clevinger, Greg Allen and Matt Waldron.
