Oscar Mauricio Mercado is a Colombian-American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball.
Mercado was born on December 16, 1994, in the United States (MLB). During the 2017 World Baseball Classic, he competed for the Colombian national baseball team in the tournament.
Mercado was born in the Colombian city of Cartagena. Oscar Sr., the man who raised him, was an avid soccer player who also worked as a general contractor. Juan, his older brother, and Nathalia, his identical twin sister, are his siblings.
