Franmil Reyes was born as Franmil Federico Reyes to mother, Dominga Uribe. He is a Dominican Republic professional baseball player known to play for the Cleveland Guardians baseball team. Franmil is an outfielder and designated hitter for the team.
He was born on July 7, 1995, in the town of Sabana Grande de Palenque in the Dominican Republic and had all his amateur baseball career there. After, the San Diego Padres signed him as an international free agent in 2011. He started his professional career the following year after the Padres assigned him to the Dominican Summer League Padres.
During the 2013 minor league season, he was assigned to play for both the Arizona League Padres and Eugene Emeralds. He spent the 2015 season with Fort Wayne and in 2016, he was with the Lake Elsinore Storm. Franmil played in 135 games for the San Antonio Missions in 2017.
For 2018, he began the season with the El Paso Chihuahuas before being promoted to the San Diego Padres in May that year. The Padres promoted him to the major leagues in 2018 and he made his MLB debut on May 14, 2018, for the Padres. The Cleveland Indians purchased his contract from the Padres on July 31, 2019.
