Myles James Noble Straw is an American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball.
He was born on October 17, 1994, in Cleveland, Ohio (MLB). The Houston Astros selected him in the 12th round of the 2015 Main League Baseball draft, and he made his first appearance in the major leagues with the Astros in 2018.
Straw received his high school education from Braden River High School in Bradenton, Florida, and went on to play baseball for St. Johns River State Collegiate during his college career.
On July 30, 2021, Straw was included in a deal that sent Phil Maton and Yainer Diaz to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Straw.
Straw concluded the 2021 season split between the Astros and the Indians with a batting line of.271/.349/.348 with four home runs, forty-eight RBIs and thirty stolen bases.
On April 9, 2022, Straw signed a contract extension with the Guardians that was worth $25 million over the course of five years.
The Houston Astros selected Straw in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft in the twelfth round. The Greeneville Astros, Corpus Christi Hooks, and Quad Cities River Bandits were all stops in his 2016 and 2017 baseball tours of the US.
In 2018, he was promoted to the Fresno Grizzlies and made his Major League Baseball debut on September 15 of the same year. Straw’s first major league home run came against Yefry Ramirez on September 29, 2018.
