Jackie Cazares and Annabell Guadalupe Rodriguez were verified to be among the victims slain in the mass shooting that took place at an elementary school in Texas, according to an aunt of the girls. The attack left a total of 19 people dead.
At least 19 students and two instructors were murdered when the suspected shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, opened fire on Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a tiny working-class town close to the border with Mexico. Ramos was arrested and charged with capital murder.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said on Wednesday that all of the victims were slain inside of a single classroom.
Cazares and her cousin Annabell Rodriguez were one of two sets of cousins who lost their lives as a result of the killings. Sky News was told by an aunt of the two that the news “shattered” her heart.

Jackie Cazares was killed in a mass shooting carried out by an 18-year-old shooter Ramos Salvador at Robb Elementary school, where Jakie Cazares was schooling. She was shot alongside 18 other students including her cousin and 2 teachers, making a total of 21 deaths.
