Hunter Harvey, full name Hunter Luke Harvey plays professional baseball as a pitcher for the Washington Nationals baseball team of Major League Baseball(MLB). Hunter was born and raised in the USA. His parents are Bryan Harvey and Lisa Harvey.
Hunter was a baseball player in high school. He attended Bandys High School located in Catawba in North Carolina. He was drafted out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with the Orioles that year and began his professional career that season after he was made to play for the Gulf Coast Orioles of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.
That same year, he was promoted to the Aberdeen IronBirds of the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League. Baseball Prospectus ranked him as the 58th-best prospect in baseball at the end of the 2013 season. During the 2014 minor league season, he was assigned to the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League.
The Orioles called him up to the major leagues on August 17, 2019, and he made his MLB debut that day for the team. Hunter was claimed off waivers in March 2022 by the Washington Nationals.
