Andres Machado was born Andrés Eduardo Machado. He is from Venezuela and plays professional baseball currently for the Washington Nationals baseball team of Major League Baseball.
Andres was born and raised in the town of Carabobo in Venezuela on April 22, 1993. He was signed by the Kansas City Royals in November 2010 as an international free agent. He made his professional debut that year with the DSL Royals.
Andres played again for the DSL Royals in 2012. For the 2013 and 2014 minor league seasons, he was assigned to play with the rookie ball Burlington Royals. In 2017, Andres played for the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers.
The Royals added him to their 40-man roster in 2017 and promoted him to the major leagues on September 1, 2017. He made his MLB debut on September 2 that year for the team. He was elected free agency in November 2018.
The Washington Nationals signed him on a minor league contract on February 26, 2021, and he made his Nationals debut in June 2021. He was also able to earn his first career win on August 7, 2021.
