Meet Lynn Shipley and Frank Sanchez
Sanchez was born in Barstow, California, to his parents, Lynn Shipley and Frank Sanchez, both of whom were immigrants from Mexico.
While Aaron’s mother, Lynn Shipley, was pregnant with him, she ended her relationship with Aaron’s biological father, Frank Sanchez.
After that, Lynn wed Mike Shipley, who therefore assumed the role of Aaron Sanchez’s stepfather. The California Angels selected Aaron’s stepfather in the fourth round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft.
Aaron’s stepfather had a successful baseball career and was taken by the Angels. After sustaining an injury to his left shoulder, the pitching career of Aaron’s stepfather came to an end; he subsequently accepted a post as a coach at Barstow Community College.
