Austin Voth is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Nationals drafted Voth in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2018.
Voth also played for the Class A Short Season Auburn Doubledays of the New York-Penn League and the Class A Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League in 2013. With 55 strikeouts in 46+1/3 innings, Voth had a 1.75 ERA over 11 starts in 2013.
For the start of the 2014 season, Voth returned to Hagerstown. At Class A Advanced Potomac Nationals in June 2014, he was then promoted to Class AA Harrisburg Senators in July 2014, both in the Carolina League.
For the 2016 season, Voth was promoted to the Class AAA Syracuse Chiefs of the International League after playing with Harrisburg in 2015.
In 2016, Voth pitched for Syracuse and had a 3.15 ERA in 157 innings. The Nationals signed him to their 40-man roster in 2017. He was a member of the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Autumn League in the fall of 2016.
This time last year, he was just outside the Nationals’ starting rotation in spring training.
