Casey Lee Lawrence is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball.
He was born on October 28, 1987, and he goes by the nickname “Twig” (MLB). He had earlier stints with the Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball, as well as with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
In the birthplace of McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, Lawrence received his secondary education at Delone Catholic High School.
After leaving high school without being selected for a professional baseball team, he enrolled at Albright College, where he pitched and played first base.

Lawrence was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays organization on May 19, only a few days before the start of the American League Pennant season, and he was subsequently sent to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.
The Blue Jays extended an invitation to Lawrence to participate in spring training after he signed a new minor league deal with the team on November 29.
