American pitcher Paul Stanton Sewald plays in the major leagues of baseball. He participates in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners. For Bishop Gorman High School in Summerlin, Nevada, he played high school baseball.
He wasn’t signed by any organizations after he graduated from high school, so he enrolled in the University of San Diego and played baseball there for the San Diego Toreros. He was chosen by the New York Mets in the tenth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He agreed to play for the Mets in exchange for receiving a $1,000 signing bonus.
He was made to play with the Brooklyn Cyclones of the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League to start his professional career. He played for the Class A South Atlantic League’s Savannah Sand Gnats in 2013 and the Class A-Advanced Florida State League’s St. Lucie Mets in 2014.
He was transferred by the Mets to the Class AAA Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League for the 2016 season. On April 8, 2017, Paul made his MLB debut for the Mets. The Mets did not extend his contract after the 2020 season, and in January 2021 he signed a minor league deal with the Seattle Mariners
