One well-known baseball player from the United States is Paul Steckenrider. He is a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners baseball. In Norcross, Georgia, he played baseball for the Greater Atlanta Christian School.
After his high school education, he went on further to attend the University of Tennessee to play baseball. He participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps’ collegiate summer baseball program in 2011
In the eighth round of the 2012 MLB draft, the Miami Marlins made him their pick. He signed, indicating his consent to play for them. He was given the Jamestown Jammers after signing, where he made his career debut. He competed in games for the GCL Marlins in 2014 and the Greensboro Grasshoppers in 2013.
He was given the Greensboro and Jupiter Hammerheads to play for in the 2015 minor league season. In 2016, he played games for the Jupiter, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and New Orleans Zephyrs. After the 2016 season, the Marlins added him to their 40-man roster.
He was promoted to the majors by the Marlins in May 2017, and on May 24, 2017, he made his MLB debut. In November 2020, he agreed to a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners.
