Paul Steckenrider is one prominent baseball player from the United States. He plays baseball for the Seattle Mariners as a pitcher. He was conceived on January 10, 1991, by Paul and Cindy Steckenrider in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States.
He went to the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia, before deciding to play baseball in college at the University of Tennessee. In 2011, he took part in the Brewster Whitecaps’ collegiate summer baseball program of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
His selection by the Miami Marlins came in the eighth round of the 2012 MLB draft. He agreed to play for them by signing. After signing, he was assigned to the Jamestown Jammers, where he made his professional debut. In 2013 and 2014, he played for the Greensboro Grasshoppers and GCL Marlins, respectively.
For the 2015 minor league season, he was assigned to play for the Greensboro and Jupiter Hammerheads. He was with Jupiter, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and New Orleans Zephyrs in 2016. The Marlins signed him to their 40-man roster following the 2016 season.
In May 2017, the Marlins promoted him to the major leagues, and on May 24, 2017, he made his MLB debut. He signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners in November 2020.
