American baseball pitcher, Erik Donald Swanson plays for the Seattle Mariners baseball team in Major League Baseball. On September 4, 1993, he was born in Fargo, North Dakota, in the United States. He stands 1.90 meters tall and weighs 107 kilograms.

Swanson played baseball for the squad at Mariemont High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, when he was a student. He attended Wabash Valley College and Iowa Western Community College after high school, where he played baseball. Swanson was chosen by the Texas Rangers in the eighth round of the 2014 MLB Draft.

In 2014, the Spokane Indians were where he made his professional debut. He played in 2015 with the Hickory Crawdads, Round Rock Express, Arizona League Rangers, and Frisco RoughRiders. He played with the Tampa Yankees in 2017 before switching to the Trenton Thunders the following year. He was traded by the Yankees to the Seattle Mariners in November 2018. He was added to the Mariners’ 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues in 2019. On April 11, 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut for the Seattle Mariners.
