MacKenzie Evan Gore is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres in the American baseball league known as Major League Baseball (MLB).
He made his MLB debut in 2022. Gore received the Most Valuable Player award in three straight state championship games while he was a student at Whiteville High School in Whiteville, North Carolina.
When he was a junior, he had a record of 12–1, had an earned run average (ERA) of 0.08, and he struck out 174 batters in 88+1/3 innings pitched.
Gore has made a verbal commitment to play collegiate baseball for the East Carolina University Pirates
On April 15, 2022, Gore made his MLB debut against the Atlanta Braves. He allowed 3 hits and 2 runs in 5+3 innings. He struck out Ozzie Albies with a 96-mph (154-km/h) fastball. Blake Snell’s first start led to Gore’s call-up.
