Joseph Anthony Musgrove is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball.
He was born on December 4, 1992, in the United States. His past stops on the field include the Toronto Blue Jays, the Houston Astros, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Toronto Blue Jays used the first pick in the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft to select Joseph Anthony Musgrove. Besides the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Houston Astros, he has also played for those teams.
In 2017, he was a member of the Astros squad that won the World Series. However, he referred to the title as “tainted” because of the subsequent controversy involving the theft of signs.
In 2021, he became the first Padres pitcher in the franchise’s 52-year history to throw a perfect game. Musgrove played two ways for Grossmont High School in El Cajon during his junior year.
