Seth William Brown is an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball. Brown was born on July 13, 1992, and is currently 25 years old.
He made his MLB debut in 2019. Brown was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he also spent his childhood. He began his educational career at Klamath Union High School.
His mother wanted to reduce the amount of time she spent travelling to and from work, so the family made the decision to relocate to Medford, Oregon.
After moving, Brown enrolled at North Medford High School, where he was recognized as a member of the first-team All-Southwest Conference and the second-team OSAA Class 6A All-State during his senior year.
Brown was in the same squad as Major League pitcher Braden Shipley when he was in the Medford Mustangs of the American Legion and when he played for North Medford.
Brown achieved a batting average of.386, led the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) with 23 home runs and was responsible for 82 runs batted in, which led to his selection as a member of the NAIA’s second-team All-Americans.
Due to his poor academic performance, Linn–Benton Community College required him to wear a redshirt during his junior year of college.
After his sophomore year at Lewis & Clark Community College, on the advice of LBCC’s head coach Greg Hawk, he decided to transfer to Lewis & Clark State College. After that, the Warriors were victorious in the NAIA World Series in 2015.
