Stephen Piscotty, whose full name is Stephen Edward Piscotty, is an American professional baseball outfielder who was born in Pleasanton, California, on January 14, 1991. Piscotty currently plays for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball and was previously known to have played for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the Stanford Cardinals in college, where he was a first-round pick. Austin Piscotty and Nicholas Piscotty are Stephen’s two siblings.
He began his baseball career as a member of the Stanford Cardinal of Stanford University, where he played from high school to college. He went to Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton for his high school career, where he was a pitcher and a shot-stopper. In 2009, he was voted the East Bay Athletic League’s Most Valuable Player. In the early phases of his career, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected him in the 45th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He, on the other hand, turned down the offer and enrolled at Stanford.
