Mithali Dorai Raj is a former Indian cricketer who captained the Indian women’s national cricket team in both Test and ODI matches. Raj batted in the upper-middle order and bowls right-arm leg breaks on occasion. Raj is the all-time leading run-scorer in women’s international cricket and is widely regarded as one of the finest female cricketers of all time.
Mithali Raj was born on December 3, 1982, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, to a Tamil family and currently resides in Telangana’s Hyderabad. . Her father, Dorai Raj, was an Indian Air Force Airman (Warrant Officer). Raj began playing the game when she was ten years old.
In Hyderabad, she attended Keyes High School for Girls. Her intermediate education was completed at Kasturba Gandhi Junior College for Women in Secunderabad. She began coaching cricket with her older brother when she was in elementary school.
