Tyler Duffey is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Texas, is where Duffey went to high school. After that, he went to Rice University and joined the Rice Owls baseball club, where he played college baseball. He was voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player in 2011.

After the 2011 season, he participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Falmouth Commodores as a collegiate amateur baseball player. He was recognized as Conference USA pitcher of the week in May of that year, for his efforts.

In the 2012 MLB draft, the Minnesota Twins drafted Duffey in the fifth round, with the 160th overall pick. In 2013, he signed with the Twins and pitched for the Cedar Rapids Kernels of Class A Advanced Florida State League before being promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle.

A Class AA Eastern League team advanced him to the Class AAA International League team Rochester Red Wings after his first season with Fort Myers in 2014.
