Trevor J. Megill is a professional baseball pitcher from the United States who plays for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball.
In the past, he was a member of the Major League Baseball team the Chicago Cubs. In the seventh round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, the San Diego Padres selected him to join their organization.
Megill received his secondary education at Marina High School, which is located in Huntington Beach, California. He skipped his senior year of high school and graduated from Bixby Charter School instead.
After graduating high school, he went on to study at Loyola Marymount University because he was passed over for a draft spot.
Following Tommy John surgery, Megill was out for the entirety of his junior year. In the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, the St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the third round with the 104th overall pick.
However, he did not sign with the team and instead went back to college.
Following the conclusion of the 2014 campaign, he participated in the summer collegiate baseball tournaments with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
