Jhon Romero, whose real name is Jhon Jairo Romero, is a professional baseball player with the Minnesota Twins. Jhon, a pitcher with the Twins, comes from Colombia. On January 17, 1995, he was born in Colombia’s Cartagena. He started out as a catcher, but as he got older, he started having more success as a pitcher.
2015 saw the Chicago Cubs sign him as an international free agent. That year, an affiliate of the Dominican Summer League gave him his professional debut. In 2016, he returned to playing with them. He played for the Cubs’ stateside affiliates during the 2017 minor league season as well as the short-season Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League in the Arizona League.
Before the season was over, he played for the Midwest League’s South Bend Cubs. In 2018, he was elevated to the Advanced-A Carolina League’s Myrtle Beach Pelicans. b In July 2018, he was dealt to the Washington Nationals. He did not participate in the 2020 season because it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was moved up to the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings in 2021 from the Double-A Harrisburg Senators.
He was promoted to the majors by the Nationals in September 2021, and on September 24, 2021, he made his MLB debut. The Minnesota Twins took him off waivers in March 2022.
