Bryson Cole Sands, also known by his full name Cole Sands, is a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins and a baseball player who was born in the United States. Cole participated in baseball while still a high school student at North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, Florida.
He was chosen in the 22nd round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros, but instead of signing with them, he chose to play baseball for Florida State University (FSU). Cole played collegiate summer baseball in 2016 and 2017 with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
The Minnesota Twins selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He signed with the Twins and received a signing bonus of $500,000. He debuted in baseball in 2019 with the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Class A Midwest League. He was moved up to the Class A-Advanced Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League throughout the season.
He won another promotion to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos of the Class AA Southern League before the season was out. In the 2021 season, the Twins transferred him to the Double-A Central’s Wichita Wind Surge. He was promoted to the major leagues by the Twins in April 2022 and he made his MLB debut for the team on May 1 2022.
