Lewis was invited to spring training as a non-roster player by the Twins in 2019. To begin the 2019 season, he returned to Fort Myers. At the start of the 2019 season, MLB.com ranked him as the fifth-best prospect.
Lewis has been named to the All-Star Futures Game for 2019. He was promoted to the Class AA Southern League’s Pensacola Blue Wahoos in July. Between the two clubs, he hit .236/.290/.371 with 12 home runs, 49 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases in 127 games.
Following the season, he was selected to play for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League. Lewis has been selected the MVP of the 2019 Arizona Fall League.
Lewis was diagnosed with an ACL tear on February 24, 2021, and surgery was scheduled on February 26. Lewis will miss the 2021 season due to the injury, which will take nine months to heal.
On November 19, 2021, he was added to the 40-man roster following the season. Lewis made his Twins debut on May 6, 2022. Lewis was forced to leave the game after colliding with the center field wall on May 29, 2022.
