Jorge Luis Pacheco Polanco is a Dominican Major League Baseball infielder for the Minnesota Twins. Polanco is a native of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic and is Hispanic. He was born July 5, 1993, and is currently 29 years old.
Polanco signed as an international free agent with the Minnesota Twins in 2009. In 2010, he made his debut for the Dominican Summer League Twins.
He also played for the Gulf Coast Twins that season, hitting.233/303/.294 in total. In 2011, he remained with the Gulf Coast Twins, hitting.250/.319/.349 in 51 games
On June 26, 2014, Polanco was called up to the major leagues for the first time. Polanco appeared in 9 games for the Twins between the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Polanco was suspended for 80 games on March 18, 2018, after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing drug, and was also ineligible for postseason play.
