Luis David Perdomo is a Dominican Major League Baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers. Luis Perdomo also played for the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball.
Luis Perdomo was picked in the 2015 Rule V Draft by the Colorado Rockies from the St. Louis Cardinals, then traded to the San Diego Padres, where he made his major league debut on April 4, 2016.
Perdomo was an international free agent when he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals in November 2010. In 2011, he made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals.
After pitching with Rookie League clubs in 2012 and 2013, Perdomo made two starts with the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League State College Spikes and 11 starts with the Class A Midwest League Peoria Chiefs in 2014, posting a 4.43 ERA between the two levels.
Perdomo began the 2015 season with the Chiefs. He was selected the Cardinals Minor League Baseball Pitcher of the Month in May, with a 1.42 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 31+23 innings.
In July, he represented the Cardinals at the All-Star Futures Game, filling in for the injured Alex Reyes. Perdomo was elevated to the Class A-Advanced Palm Beach Cardinals in August after earning a 3.68 ERA in 17 starts with the Chiefs
