Mario Javier Feliciano is a professional baseball catcher from Puerto Rico who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball. In 2021, he made his MLB debut.
Mario Feliciano was born on November 20, 1998, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, at the age of 23. He stands 1.85 meters tall.
Feliciano was selected in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers out of the Carlos Beltran Academy in Florida, Puerto Rico. With the Arizona League Brewers, he made his professional debut.
Feliciano batted.265 with 16 RBIs in 29 games for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2017, and.251/.320/.331 with four home runs and 36 RBIs in 104 games for the Arizona League Brewers and Carolina Mudcats in 2018.
Due to a shoulder injury, he only played in 46 games in 2018, hitting.213 with three home runs. He also only appeared in two games in the Arizona Fall League.
Feliciano was promoted to the major leagues for the first time on May 1, 2021. In the bottom of the 11th inning, he made his MLB debut as a pinch hitter, drawing a walk against Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia. Later that inning, Feliciano hit the game-winning run, his first in the major leagues.
