Alex Jackson is an American-born professional baseball player with the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Alex was born on December 25, 1995. He played high school baseball at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego County, California.
In 2014, before he completed high school, he was ranked by MaxPreps as the best high school prospect in the 2014 class. He also won Baseball America’s High School Player of the Year Award. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft.
He signed with the Mariners and made his professional debut that season with the AZL Mariners. He was assigned to spend the 2015 season with the Clinton Lumber Kings. The Mariners traded his contract in November 2016 to the Atlanta Braves.
He made his Braves debut during the 2017 season with the Florida Fire Frogs and was promoted during the season to the Mississippi Braves. He made it to the Brave’s 40-man roster after the 2018 season.
They promoted him to the major leagues on April 7, 2019, and he made his major league debut that day. The Braves traded him to the Miami Marlins in July 2021 and they also traded him to the Milwaukee Brewers in April 2022.
