Tyrone Anthony Taylor is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers.
From Torrance High School in Torrance, California, Taylor was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2012.
He had agreed to play baseball in college at California State University, Fullerton, but instead chose to sign with the Brewers.
Taylor played for the Helena Brewers and the Arizona League Brewers in his first season as a professional. He had two home runs and a .387/.434/.667 batting line in 75 at-bats over 18 games.
He participated in the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ 2013 campaign. In 485 at-bats over 122 games, he hit .274/.338/.400 with eight home runs. He was rated by Baseball America as the Brewers’ second-best prospect prior to the 2014 campaign.
He joined the Brevard County Manatees to begin the season. On his mother’s 35th birthday, April 29, 2014, Tyrone Taylor hit a cycle against the Clearwater Threshers.
It was the first cycle in the history of the Brevard County Manatees. He played for both the Huntsville Stars and the Brevard County Manatees in 2014, batting .273/.326/.388/.714 with six home runs and 68 RBI.
He played for the Biloxi Shuckers during the 2015 season, batting .260/.312/.337/.649 with 3 home runs and 43 RBI. He went back to Biloxi for the 2016 campaign, slashing .232/.303/.327/.630 with 34 RBI and 9 home runs.
Due to hamstring problems, he played only 25 games in 2017 with the AZL Brewers and Biloxi, averaging .287/.355/.509/.864 with 5 home runs and 13 RBI
In his 2018 season with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, he hit .278/.321/.504/.825 with 20 home runs and 80 RBI. After the 2018 offseason, the Brewers added him to their 40-man roster.
