Trevor J’Daniel Rogers is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins in the American professional baseball league known as Major League Baseball (MLB).
He made his MLB debut in 2020. Rogers earned his high school diploma from Carlsbad High School, which is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
He helped his team win the 6A state title game as a junior, going 9–2 with a 0.70 earned run average (ERA) and 122 strikeouts, which contributed to his team’s overall success.
Rogers has made a verbal commitment to play college baseball for Texas Tech University. The Miami Marlins selected him with the thirteenth overall pick in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.
He was widely regarded as one of the most promising prospects for the draft. Rogers agreed to a deal with Miami that is worth $3.4 million.
In 2018, Rogers made his debut in the professional ranks with the Greensboro Grasshoppers. He pitched for the full season with the team, making 17 starts and compiling a record of 2–7 with an earned run average of 5.82.
He started out in 2019 playing for the Jupiter Hammerheads, the team with which he was honored as an All-Star in the Florida State League.
In August, he was elevated to a position with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Rogers has a record of 6–10 with a 2.90 earned run average and 150 strikeouts in 136+1/3 innings pitched across 23 starts split between both clubs.
