Aaron Loup is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, and New York Mets.

During the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, Loup was selected by the Blue Jays in the ninth round of the draft. Loup was the second player from the Tulane Green Wave to be drafted into the NFL after being selected due to his outstanding performance while playing for the team.

After being selected, Loup spent 2009 playing for the Blue Jays affiliate in the Gulf Coast League. During the 2009 season, he pitched 1613 innings and had 19 strikeouts. His earned run average was 3.86.

In 2010, the Blue Jays promoted him to pitch for one of their Class A affiliates, the Lansing Lugnuts. In 733 1/3 innings with them, he recorded 73 strikeouts and had an earned run average of 4.54.

On June 22, 2010, it was announced that Loup had been selected as a Mid-Season All-Star. Due to a mystery injury, he was sidelined for the final two months of the season and began the new year on the injured reserve list.
