Chase Robert Silseth is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. He was born on May 18, 2000, in the United States. He made his MLB debut in 2022.
During the 2021 Major League Baseball draft, the Los Angeles Angels picked Silseth up in the 11th round of available players.
After joining the organization, he was sent to the Arizona Complex League Angels, where he played for a while until being moved up to the Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Silseth was honored as the Southern League Pitcher of the Month for April 2022 after making his season debut with the Trash Pandas at the beginning of the 2022 campaign.
On May 13, 2022, the Angels chose to pick the contract of Silseth and elevated him to the active roster as a result.
That night, he made his debut in the major leagues against the Oakland Athletics, pitching six innings during which there were no runs scored and striking out four hitters. Silseth was the first player selected in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft to make his debut in the league.
