Between Sand Gnats and Brooklyn Cyclones in 2008, he had a season of 254/.285/.337 in 46 games. At the end of 2009, he played for Savannah and the GCL Mets (slash line:.274/305/333 in 47 games) (5 for 24, 2B, BB).

That year, he made the switch to the outfield. After a fourth straight season with Savannah, he hit .300/.318/.459 in 67 games for the St. Lucie Mets, and he also appeared in 33 games for them, where he batted .233/.248/.316.

This season, he hit nine home runs and stole 25 bases on 30 attempts, placing him in the South Atlantic League’s top three most three-baggers (3 behind leader Evan Crawford). He ranked third in triples and sixth in stolen bases for the Mets.
