Martin Maldonado whose full name is Martin Benjamin Maldonado is a baseball professional catcher for the Houston Astros who was born on August 16, 1986, in Naguabo Puerto Rico. Martin Maldonado previously played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels, Kansas City Royals, and the Chicago Cubs. He was known to have been selected by the Angels in the year 2004 in the 27th round of the draft.
As for the Brewers he made his first appearance in the MLB with them in the year 2011. He was said to have won a Gold Glove Award and a Fielding Bible Award in the year 2017.
Martin commenced his professional career with the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. He became part of them in the year 2004 in the 27th round of the Major League Baseball draft. He was as well known to play his rookie season for the Arizona League Angels that same year. He got released after the 2006 season where he batted 222/329/270.
He then joined the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball in the year 2007 and signed a minor league contract with the Brewers. With the Brewers, he began the 2009 season in earnest with the Manatees.
Martin then joined the Houston Astros in July 2018 over trade from the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. In his first encounter with the Astros, he made 13 passed balls which were regarded as second-most among AL catchers. Then he joined the Chicago Cubs on July 15, where he was traded to the Cubs in exchange for one Mike Montgomery
Martin then had a second stint with the Houston Astros on July 31, 2019. In exchange for one Tony Kemp who was an outfielder at the time.
