Dennis Matthews
Dennis Matthews is an American broadcaster best known as a play-by-play announcer for the Kansas City Royals in Major League Baseball since the team’s inception in 1969. He was born on November 14, 1942 and attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where he played baseball and football.
Matthews has been the Royals’ top broadcaster since then. From 1974 to 1998 – a stretch that includes the best seasons in the Royals’ history – Matthews was paired with Fred White. In 1999, the two also teamed up to write a book called Play by Play: 25 Years of Royals on Radio.
Steve Physioc
Born on December 29, 1954, Steve Physioc is an American sportscaster who has called play-by-play for various baseball, basketball, and football teams. He professionally began his broadcasting duties in 1983 when he agreed to a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals football and Cincinnati Reds.
He has been the announcer teams like the San Francisco Giants, the Anaheim Angels, the Detroit Tigers, and the Atlanta Braves. On January 27, 2010, the Kansas City Royals hired Steve Physioc to call games part-time on television.
Steve Stewart
Steve Stewart is the pregame host and in-depth commentator on the Kansas City Royals Radio Network.[1] The 2011 season was his fourth with the Royals, his twelfth in the Major Leagues, and his twentieth telecom baseball. Stewart went through four years as a Cincinnati Reds telecaster (2004-2007), the initial 3 on WLW Radio and in 2007 on TV as a pre-game host and fill-in-depth commentator for FSN Ohio.
Ryan Lefebvre
Ryan Lefebvre has been with the Kansas City Royals for 23 years as the play-by-play announcer. He provides play-by-play on the Royals Radio Network for some of the games that aren’t covered on television. Ryan and Sarah reside in Greenwood, Missouri, with their sons: Micah, Evan, and Lucas, and daughter, Callie.
Rex Hudler
Rex Hudler isn’t just an announcer, he has also played for the New York Yankees for fourteen seasons after being a first-round draft pick. Hudler was announced as the new television color commentator for the Kansas City Royals, teaming up with Ryan Lefebvre and his old partner Steve Physioc in 2012.
