Who Is Yuli Gurriel’s Brother, Lourdes Gurriel Jr.?
Lourdes Yunielki Gurriel Castillo Jr. was born in Cuba on October 10, 1993, and now plays left field for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. He is a Cuban professional baseball player (MLB).
Before leaving Cuba, he was a member of the Sancti Spiritus and Industriales baseball teams, both of which competed in the Cuban National Series
. After he defected, Gurriel was given a ranking that placed him among the best international prospects that were available. Yuli Gurriel, his brother, was also a professional baseball player in Cuba before he defected and began playing for the Houston Astros.
Members of his family call Miami, Florida, home. On September 21, 2018, both Lourdes and his brother created baseball history when they hit two home runs, becoming the first brothers to have multi-homer performances on the same day.

Between the years 2010 and 2015, Gurriel competed in the Cuban National Series. At the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, he competed for Cuba as a representative of that country.
Although Gurriel signed a contract with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball, he did not play for the team at any point during the season.
Lourdes Gurriel was one of the Gold Glove Award’s three contenders in 2019. In 57 games with the Blue Jays, he hit.308 with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs. A club record for the most Grand Slams in a season was set in 2020 by him.
