Luke Francis Bard is a professional American baseball pitcher who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball. Bard was born on November 13, 1990, in the United States.
He has Major League Baseball experience, having played for the Los Angeles Angels. Bard received his education at Charlotte Christian School, located in Charlotte,
North Carolina, as well as at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team during his time there.
During the summers of 2010 and 2011, he was a member of the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played collegiate baseball.
Daniel, Bard’s older brother, is a professional baseball player who is presently signed with the Colorado Rockies organization. John Andreoli, who is his cousin, also plays baseball at the professional level for the San Diego Padres organization.
In the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft, Bard was selected by the Minnesota Twins to join their organization.
