Pitcher Noah Davis plays for the Colorado Rockies in baseball’s big leagues. Davis was born on April 22, 1997, in Newport Beach, California in the United States so by nationality, he is an American.
Davis played baseball for the University of California, Santa Barbara while attending Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, California. In 2017, he took part in the college Cape Cod Baseball League baseball program of the Cotuit Kettleers.
The Cincinnati Reds selected Davis in the eleventh round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. Prior to being moved to the Billings Mustangs for the rest of the season, he made his professional debut in 2019 with the Arizona League Reds.
On July 28, 2021, the Reds transferred Mychal Givens to the Colorado Rockies in exchange for Davis and Case Williams. He was assigned to the Spokane Indians, where he played for the remainder of the season.
The right-hander threw more strikes after the deal than he had earlier in the year. He also possesses an up-tempo delivery that adds deception.
The Rockies believe he has enough potential to make the big leagues, either as a back-end starter or as an intriguing piece for the bullpen.
