A. J. Terrell, is a cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League. He is 1.85 m tall and 88 kg in weight. He played cornerback and wide receiver when a student at Westlake High School. He made a commitment to Clemson University in order to play collegiate football with the Clemson Tigers. He participated in 14 games as a true freshman at Clemson in 2017, making 15 tackles and a pick.
He had 53 tackles, three interceptions, and a score in his sophomore season while starting all 15 games. In 2019, he made a comeback as a starter. He was selected to the All-ACC first team following his junior season.
In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected Terrell with the 16th overall pick. In July 2020, he agreed to a four-year, fully guaranteed deal for $14.31 million with the Falcons, which included a $7.96 million signing bonus. He was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list before week 3 following a viral test on September 26, 2020, which was positive.
He begins working in October 2020. He intercepted the Carolina Panthers’ pass in Week 14 of the 2021 season, which contributed to their 29–21 loss. His overall rating of 82.7 from Pro Football Focus put him in second place among cornerbacks who qualified for 2021, according to the organization. In January 2022, he was selected for the second team of the All-Pros.
