A.J. Terrell Parents: Meet Aundell Terrell Sr. and Aliya

Cornerback A. J. Terrell plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He weighs 88 pounds and stands 1.85 meters tall. He attended Westlake High School and played wide receiver and cornerback there. At Clemson University, he committed to playing collegiate football for the Clemson Tigers. He played in 14 games as a true freshman in 2017 for Clemson, making 15 tackles and one interception.

He had 53 tackles, three interceptions, and a touchdown as a sophomore while starting every game. For his junior season in 2019, he returned as a starter. After his junior season, he was chosen for the first team All-ACC.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Terrell with the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In addition to a $7.96 million signing bonus, he signed a fully guaranteed four-year, $14.31 million contract with the Falcons in July 2020. After testing positive for the virus on September 26, 2020, he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list before week 3. In October 2020, he starts to work.

In Week 14 of the 2021 season, the Carolina Panthers were defeated 29-21 thanks in part to his interception. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of 82.7, placing him second among cornerbacks who met the criteria in 2021. He was chosen to the second team of the All-Pros in January 2022.
