Aaron Ashby is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers in the United States. The Brewers selected him in the fourth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.

He made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Helena Brewers, as well as the Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, where he went 2–3 with a 3.59 ERA in 13 games.



In 2019, Ashby pitched for the Wisconsin Badgers and the High-A Carolina Mudcats, posting a 5–10 record and 3.50 ERA in 24 outings for both clubs.

Due to the postponement of the minor league season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashby did not play in any games in 2020.

To begin the 2021 season, he was assigned to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. In June, Ashby was moved to the bullpen and went 4–1 with a 4.50 ERA in 12 games for the team.

The Brewers announced on June 29, 2021 that Ashby would be promoted to the main leagues for the first time. On June 30, he was formally added to the 40-man and active rosters.

That day, he made his Major League Baseball debut as a starter against the Chicago Cubs. He went 2/3 of an inning in his debut and gave up 7 runs, four of which were earned.

Ashby tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2020, while staying with high school classmate and NBA player Landry Shamet. Andy Ashby, a former MLB pitcher, is Aaron’s uncle.
