Aaron Eugene Fletcher is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He formerly played for the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball.



In Houston, Texas, Fletcher went to Langham Creek High School. He was a member of the Houston Cougars baseball team throughout his undergraduate years.

The Washington Nationals selected Fletcher in the 14th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, with the 431st overall pick.

He went 2–1 with a 2.90 ERA in 31 innings for the Gulf Coast Nationals and Auburn Doubledays in 2018.

In 2019, he was 5–4 with a 1.79 ERA in 60 innings with the Hagerstown Suns, Potomac Nationals, and Harrisburg Senators in the Washington organization.

Fletcher, Taylor Guilbeau, and Elvis Alvarado were traded to the Seattle Mariners on July 31, 2019, for Roenis Elas and Hunter Stricklan.

He was assigned to the Arkansas Travelers, where he pitched 13 innings for a 3.46 ERA. Following the 2019 season, Fletcher played for the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League, where he was selected as a Fall League All-Star.

On August 21, 2020, Fletcher was added to the active roster and made his main league debut the next day.
